DTF Ink FAQs
Which printers/printheads are compatible?
Our inks are tuned for all Epson-based DTF printheads including XP600, i1600, i3200,4720, L1800 and more. They work great in popular printers like Kingdom DTF Knight A3 PRO, Haolic brand, Procolored brand, Xtool brand, Prestige brand, and many others.
How do I prevent white ink from settling?
Gently agitate white daily, store cool/dry, and run a quick nozzle check each day. Avoid mixing brands. Keep your circulation (if available) active on a schedule.
How many prints per liter?
Typical yield is ~300–500 A3-sized designs per liter depending on artwork coverage, underbase size, and RIP settings.
What fabrics does it work on?
With the right film & powder, DTF works on cotton, polyester, and blends with excellent durability when pressed correctly.
What kind of ink is used for DTF?
DTF (Direct to Film) printing uses specially formulated, water-based pigment inks designed for the transfer process. These inks create vibrant colors and have a flexible, durable polymer blend that adheres well to various fabrics, including cotton, polyester, and blends. A key aspect of these inks is their CMYK+White color channels, with white ink used as an underbase to ensure colors remain vivid and true on any textile when the design is transferred. Not all the inks are made the same way, and Kingdom DTF uses the highest and premium raw material for their inks and supplies. Poor and cheap raw material is poor ink that causes clogs.
Is DTF ink pigment or dye?
DTF ink is water-based and made with specialized pigments that bond to heat transfer film, delivering vibrant, long-lasting colors. Regular inks are not formulated for this process and cannot achieve the same durability or print quality.
